Overdox is a very original and cute game. The menus and buttons are futuristic and very reminiscent of Tron. Your player character is always visible in the menu and this definitely underlines the efforts that the developers put into the armor design. The armor sets are very unique and you can see very different inspirations from oriental styles to futuristic fur styles. You can also change the gender of your player character and the armor sets change accordingly. Some women's armors are redesigned to make them look "more attractive". For example, a helmet with an iron skull covers a man's face, but shows a woman in full make-up.

Features.

The in-game graphics are also really good. The monsters adhere to the theme of "futuristic fighting game" as they are all kind of robots. The landscape is different, and it's clear that the developers intended to portray the settings as simulating different eras and locations. The textures look pretty good, but to put it that way, the camera's angle of view is pretty far from them. Zooming in on the map will reveal pixelation, especially with poor quality graphics.

This selection of music actually fits the aesthetic very well, but I definitely prefer turning the music off in this game. This is partly because the mixing is very strange.

The volume of the sound appears to be at odds with each other. The post-match counting sound is incredibly piercing, especially when wearing headphones. For some reason, the sound is seriously amplified. In-game sound effects like weapon noise are also relatively quiet compared to everything else. The monsters don't make any noise for some reason, but I suspect it's because their sound effects are drowned out by music and other sound effects.
