Reviews for Duolingo: Language Lessons
Used to be good before becoming AI first and getting rid of professionals who made the app what it was
Annoying app. Constantly bugs you while you just try to chill. It puts itself on your homescreen even if you don't want to and even if you remove it's privileges to do so. Just use a different language app that does the same thing without this annoying pestering. They fired their whole staff and started using AI for all their stuff anyway, so that's sad.
L Duolingo you fell off.
i am NOT being threatened to make a five star review, this isN'T supposed to be a four star review. send help...
used duolingo for a little while and genuinely barely learnt ANYTHING, until recently, when they made a statement about valuing AI over HUMAN LIVES. this is yknow a very bad thing to say obviously??? so deleted my account and the app itself. boycott duolingo.
this app is the best app you can find like, any game you want even in school!
pushing their social beliefs into the lessons.
are the reveiws ai too just like your courses and 'employees'🥀 i shouldnt have spent money on this 𝓂𝑜𝓃𝑒𝓎 𝒽𝓊𝓃𝑔𝓇𝓎 company a year ago💔 (im not the brightest person)
it does not dounload
What is this AI stuff they added? It makes mistakes, it sound bad, it's hard to understand, and sounds completely lifeless without emotions
Love it!
learning Japanese, I think I'm learning Japanese I really think so!!
Not what it used to be but still worthy if you want to learn the basics of a language. Don't expect to become fluent but do expect your understanding to vastly improve.
Duolingo has been an amazing experience so far! Iterative lessons that really make your progress tangible! There are a few small changes I'd make [like a word bank to help with spelling and shortcuts to accented letters and punctuation], but overall, I greatly recommend it!
Duolingo is my favourite language app so far. It's broken down into tracks that match up with the framework used to get placement at school or for work. I'm moving from level A2 German to B1 painlessly, day by day. The inclusion of different voices and accents helps get used to the sounds of the new language (I've noticed this with German regional accents and Spanish ones that can be from Spain or Latin America). I also notice and appreciate varied listening, speaking, and writing exercises.
