When unpacking the archive with the file, you will be prompted to enter a password
- Download the XAPK installation application, e.g, APKPure or File Manager .
- Open the downloaded XAPK installation application and locate the downloaded XAPK file.
- Follow the instructions in the application to install the XAPK file.
- Allow installation from unknown sources: Go to 'Settings' > 'Security' (or 'Biosecurity & Safety') > enable 'Unknown sources' or 'Install from unknown sources' for your browser or file manager. On newer smartphone models, permission is requested when the individual file is installed and no unnecessary steps need to be performed..
- Install the APK file by following the on-screen instructions.
- Restore security settings by disabling permission to install from unknown sources.

When you really want to keep working on your PC but want to take a break outside. This works great via WiFi. I've not tired the OverNet function yet, windows 10 is so secure? I use this to not have to install more apps on my phone just use the PC programs. It's a bit slow sometimes but its great to multitask.
Its so good my old chromebook cp101a is like lighting fast. It feels like I am running hardware inside. Its amazing. GOt it working. Had to do an update. BUT WORKS SO GOOD NOW Even 4k VIdeo, there is a Slight audio synch issue sometimes, but it works great! LOVE IT! MICROSOFT! YOU HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK MAN! GOOD JOB! WOW!!!!! Only problem is Sound. It is It is distorted. Other then that? NO A SINGLE PROBLEM as of NOW. I have LOVE THIS APP! If the sound can be fixed? OMG! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
This is pretty handy for remotely managing my desktop pc. Recently I've noticed that the black bar below my keyboard (AOSP A11 Gestural Navigation, GBoard) disappears during a session and I can't tap return or space unless I contact the top of those keys…and it slows me down a bit. But this works way better (more responsive, smoother) than TeamViewer or Splashtop. And it's already part of my W10 Pro deployment. So no extra work is needed to use it. And it works with my existing Live ID. Kudos!
Update: Updates and Beta still have the same issue. Only happens in RDP. All other apps respond correctly. New starting in late May when shifting to a capital letter it "sticks" on and requires another press of the shift key to return to lower case. This happens more than 50% of the time where I'm typing in the remote session and look to see that all is in caps.
since i got the S10 plus, the weird scrolling issue and off mouse was bugging me. Found a fix for it tho. it has to do with the camera cut out and how the phone tries to hide it. The fix can be done in two ways. 1: Hide the camera. this will shrink the screen to hide the camera and the app will behave as it did before. 2: Under display - full screen apps - scroll down to this app and change it from auto to full. This will allow the app to behave like normal but with the cutout visible.
Been using this since Win 7. Recommend it for anyone that need to remotely access their PC by remote desktop. Integrates my Note stylus and touch control perfectly with Windows 10. No camera or microphone support yet so can't use Cortana remotely. Don't waste time trying other apps. This one is simple to use and keeps getting better. No ads!
App is great! if there was a 4.5 🌟 if give it that. using w Moto g6 and zero problems. connecting to mainly Windows 10 systems and a win 7 vm. bounce around among several different systems and my phone's ui fluidly. responsiveness is fast, graphics are good and things scale and scrunch in expected and orderly ways. app itself is also responsive and well laid out. connections are easy to make.
I've used this for years on my Windows 10 Mobile device (Lumia 950XL), where it works over Continuum - so I don't have to carry a laptop when I travel. I would give this 5 stars if only it worked over Chromecast, so I could do the same thing with my Android phone. PLEASE Microsoft, fix this. I have to keep carrying my old Lumia just so I can do work while on the road. It's stupid.
Video watching is buggy to say the least, the newer client is certainly better for that. The other Microsoft branded rdp client is version 10! High quality video streaming they allude to in the specifications is generally so buggy you'll get about 2 seconds before it hangs. I'm not rightly sure why anyone would stick with this version.
Installed on my galaxy note 5 and it couldn't find my desktop. I set up on my computer using their setup assistance. I tried the qr code, manual input, and for the login email address and username. Tons of people have been complaining about this for 4 years now and still no fix. Error 0x104 on android. I tried all the fixes suggested in your forums and none work just like they didn't work for the people you suggested it to. I realize it's a free app so you probably don't invest much into it, but if you're not going to do it right then just delete it. Downloaded an alternative made by (rhymes with poodle) and had it running in less than 5 minutes.
