Reviews for iRobot Home
Reliability of robot is decreasing rapidly. App very basic.
The app hasn't seemed to work since the last update. It says it's loading my experience, and yet it won't load. Everything else attached to my wifi is working correctly. Needless to say, my house is getting vacuumed.
Unreliable, like the robot
cleaning is excellent, app is awful.
can't easily see the "map" of the house and tell it only to clean specific high traffic areas. there should be a "map" it "layout" button so we can configure where to clean.
I find this vacuum to be a bit frustrating. sometimes it takes 1.5 hours to clean about 600sq ft and sometimes it takes 4 hours. Why? It seems to get stuck more often than my low tech eufi vacuum, which this replaced. It often doesn't get back on the charger properly and then can't finish the next job without recharging. Why doesn't it tell me it can't charge? The app could use refinement. It's not always intuitive.
The best Robot
It's awfull
the app allows me to be very productive with my time.
love my Rafa
Editing current favorites or using them as input to new jobs is not real intuitive. I don't let the vacuum interrupt me. It just needs to work. ASK. If the vacuum repeatedly gets stuck in the same place, auto add the minimal keepout zone necessary to mitigate that...I cannot change the distance of the floor to counter. Every day it gets stuck, runs its battery down to zero, and a dead vacuum?? Gotta be a better way. Default to sleeping, preserve batt and allow me to defeat the feature.
Works great about 75% of the time. The rest of the time it logs out, or won't connect to WiFi. I've had to factory reset 3 times. It didn't clean consistently. It doesn't pick up anything later than a froot loop. Cool tech but for this amount of money I was expecting much better performance.
These robots are pieces of shi+!!! I have two. Both hot garbage!!! The newer one is worse then the old one. It cleans for 5 mins and thinks it's done. Send it out again and it spend almost an hour and a half spinning and cleaning NOTHING!!!! The older model actually cleans but it's SLOW and NEEDS CONSTANT SUPERVISION because it ALWAYS GETS STUCK on carpet with dark patterns. It will need help several times just to kind of clean your room. It is so much easier to use legacy vacuum. Waste of $
Any kind of map edits like adding exclusion zones take a stupid amount of time to save. The bot ignores exclusion zones half the time anyway. The app asks how a cleaning job went, but then the ui is incomplete and buggy and freezes the app so you have to close it without leaving feedback. The map is wrong, and gets worse with every vacuuming attempt. Almost 100% of vacuuming attempts fail to cover the whole house.
App appears necessary to get Roomba i3 working. The operation screens are easy to use: reports, schedules, room editing. There are rough spots such as the built in rating questions that are not fully internationalized. The history report always shows Error -- when the cleaning run is perfectly completed. The "Error" is actually a failure to link to the explanation webpage 😂
