Reviews for Yoga | Down Dog
I have my paid subscription since 2021, I think it says a lot already and recommend it to every friend that wants to practice yoga. I also like other apps from the series. the work outs are wonderfully put together, the guidance is on point, music selection is awesome, videos are good quality and most importantly everything is 100% configurable for your ideal practice, and when I say everything Imean it. you can change it all. I just wish long life to the team so they keep up doing a great job!
This session is beginners but moves too fast between poses
great app
Love, love, love the customizability before starting the workouts. Plus the guide is super clear and easy to follow along with.
great app. I like that it's a different sequence each time and I can adjust the time and focus area as needed
a necessary part of the routine, everyone should practice a little bit of yoga and meditation.
Well developed flow set according to my requirements. Easy to follow, achieved the stretch and release that I needed after a full day over the laptop.
App is no longer free
I love this app. It's customizable and quickly adapts to my choices. I'm more likely to continue my yoga and Pilates practice since it's so easy to do on my timeline. Well worth the membership.
Great experience. Clear instructions and video content
I'm a beginner and I love the customization options to make it slow, full explanation. Sometimes it's hard to keep looking at the screen and the instructor names a pose and I have to get out of position to look and see what it is. But usually the explanations get me there. I wish there were a glossary in the app, but I can find that info online as well. I would love if there were preset sequences, like a runner's yoga or evening wind down.
pros: - practices are amazing and super customizable, and saveable! - subscription doesn't cost that much, and is cheap for what you're getting cons: - you have to subscribe for full content - you can't exit the app (to respond to a text for example) during a practice without skipping ahead and having to go back - it doesn't integrate well with Spotify. it has a section to play your own music and even has a volume slider; but it goes off the phone volume which cancels out any usefulness
I have tried so many different Apps for fitness, yoga, meditation, and none compare to the Down Dog apps. I love that with one subscription, I have access to everything I want and need, and can customize each session according to my preferences at the time. I highly recommend these Apps. It is 100% worth the investment in yourself.
No point in telling you why you should do yoga. But if you're interested, this app is a great way to start. I do have the paid version and have never used the free so I can't couch for features. This app is a great supplement to going to a real class. You can choose a wide variety of settings including, duration, speed, voice, music, focus, etc. The latter meaning you can go for more of an aerobic style, or you can focus on core, or legs. And they are different every time. No more excuses!
I mainly use it for guided stretching. Really like the different options/settings to personalize the workout. At this point my only suggestion is to let users exclude certain positions, e.g., a thumbs up/down feature. I personally can't do one or two stretches because of an injury and when they come up, I have to do something else in the meantime.
