Reviews for The Silent Age
Good story and music. The game is a little too easy and very short but it is fun. I beat chap 1 in a little over an hour. I'm all about supporting the devs but $5 is just way to much for chapter 2. If it was a buck or 2 maybe I would do it, but for 5 I'm out. Def worth playing, just wish it was a bit longer. If u want a great game that is similar with an awesome story but longer and more challenging try tiny room. I actually spent the money on that for additional chapters. Thx for a fun game tho
Although episode 2 had no sound or music whatsoever, the story was great. I hope to play another point and click game like this. I didn't mind paying for the 2nd episode for $5.00. It was totally worth it! I enjoyed playing the game very much! I preferred playing episode 1 because there were sound and music, though. I'm hoping you make more games like this! I absolutely LOVED it!!!
Rarely do I give a game 5 stars but this one deserves it. Great point and click game with no moon logic puzzles. Great story. Time travel mechanic fun to use. Only thing that sucks is it's short and REALLY leaves you wanting more. You can play the first half free before you need to buy part 2 for 6 bucks. (It's well worth it) Hope to see more from these developers.
Probably the best adventure mystery point and click game I've ever played. Genius in it's simplicity of game play and format. Great story and background sound. Graphics are simple but artistic. Very entertaining for young and old alike. I played when 1st came out, finally got back to it for the sequel(s) & yes, it's worth the 5 bucks!
Really fun gameplay. Maybe not the most cerebral but it's a decent average complexity puzzle game. Chapter 1 is free and chapter 2 was $5. Yeah, maybe not the best trick having to pay halfway through the story but the main screen does say ep 1 is free but ep 2 is not. I really wanted an ep 3. The story is pretty cool and I was hoping for more. The story ended properly though I just wanted more.
Great ambiance, sound design, and a fairly okay story. The puzzles are... way to simplistic; it's basically just "walk back to other room get thing" . Puzzle solutions are used over and over again. Unlike Ol school p.a.c. games you are not able to carry pieces from one area to the next, your inventory is zero at the start of every new "scene". because of this you are not able to find a puzzle piece at the beginning of the game that will come in handy at the end of the game .
Engaging story, gameplay, and nice graphics. Some trial and error with puzzle solving but with limited options for interactions, everything can eventually be connected. I just played the free part (4 chapters), but it gives the impression of being a worthwhile investment.
Great game! Not to hard, not to easy. Definitely left me wanting more. The game is a little short and the cost if part to a little high, hence the 4 not 5 stars. Gameplay was great, audio great, visuals were kind of basic but where very crisp. It has some humor which was a nice touch and you find yourself liking and cheering for our Hero Joe. I ask House of fire, please give us more of Joe or more games in this fashion for mobile devices. PLEASE!!
I really love this game because of the puzzles and sarcastic comments Joe makes about everything. Overall it's a great game except for the fact that the second episode costs 5 dollars. I'm not sure how much content is In the second chapter but if it's as much as there was in the first then the price should be lowered. Otherwise it's probably at the right price and I look forward to purchasing it anyways.
