Reviews for Religion Inc. God Simulator
It's not bad at all. Maybe make the game so it lasts longer, a bit more difficult, and more interactive when (trying to recruit, a problem arises) different visuals for temples, gatherings, etc... Controls? Fairly simple, it would be cool if there were different zoom options (world, country, region, city). Graphics? Are pleasing, it's satisfying to get alerts you're religion is thriving or crumbling.
I love this for world-building. This game has inspired many ideas for my own pantheon building, despite being a shameless plague inc reskin. It's very will thought out and designed, not super finely polished yet, as evidenced by the several noticeable typos, and the jarring ads. They are quite frequent, and there's a static one in the top of the screen that makes it hard to collect the "prayer" bubbles. The game is still in development so things can (and hopefully will) change. Good game overall
Fun game, but there's a few bugs. Sometimes after watching an ad the map goes black with territories having a white outline around them, with the Pantheon's statues you can keep tapping them and it will increase the cost of a new statue but not much else, (I guess the button for creating the statue stays there?) and Paganism's Prediction ability just kinda softlocks the game. Nothing shows up and it keeps me from interacting with the game after using it. Great otherwise.
I give it 4 stars because it does not give a better tutorial but the main reason is that there are "combos" of traits within each Religion and there is nothing on which ones it wants or at the very least it could note the ones that you have done; but it doesn't. Overall it is a great way to kill time and once you get the hang of it it gets easier and easier to convert the masses.
I play on the base free game. For the most part I like it's casual nature, the only thing I have a bit of an issue with are the traits combos. There's the counter that I managed 6/10 by there is no way to check which ones they are, and the ones I still need. It wouldn't be an issue if it was only the 8 overarching traits, because it would be easier to deduce. A list or achievements tab would just be nice in game.
Gameplay looks amazing. If I could play long enough to decide if I like the game enough to pay for no ads, maybe I'd purchase it. Unfortunately, there are SO MANY ADS it is unplayable to a point I can't even tell if I want the game. I gave 2 stars because it looks genuinely fun. GAMEFIRSTMOBILE/: If you made the first 2 or 3 games played ad-free so I can see how this game even plays, you could keep the amount of ads you have now in the game for those who want to keep playing the free version.
I want to like it but there are definitely flaws present. For starters, it crashes a lot. I can't get more than 5 minutes in before it crashes my phone and I have to reopen it, which is annoying. Also, I understand needing the money but the fast forward button should not be stuck behind a paywall as that is a basic component of games like these.
It's like plague Inc with less depth. I found myself fairly bored. I might've been ok with that though, until I hit the no warning auto ads. I really don't mind ads that are optional and give rewards, I just don't want to be forced to watch ads wherever the game devices it's time. It also lead me to accidentally tap on the ads multiple times. Uninstalled the game shortly after trying it
It's a 3-star rip-off of Plague, Inc. at best before the ads. Everything has an ad attached to it, and many of the ads have messed up buttons that send me to their link instead of properly closing the ad. Let me pay because I enjoyed the game, not because you annoyed the life out of me with ads. I spent half my time watching ads. If I wanted to watch that many ads, I'd go dig up Super Bowl ads on YouTube since they're more entertaining than either this game or its ads. Not paying. Uninstalled.
