How to install Citizen: Local Safety Alerts
- Download APK file apps from apkshki.com.
- Locate the downloaded file. You can find it in the system tray or in the 'Download' folder using any file manager.
- If the file downloaded in .bin extension (WebView bug on Android 11), rename it to .apk using any file manager or try downloading the file with another browser like Chrome.
- Start the installation. Click on the downloaded file to start the installation
- Allow installation from unknown sources. If you are installing for the first time Citizen: Local Safety Alerts not from Google Play, go to your device's security settings and allow installation from unknown sources.
- Bypass Google Play protection. If Google Play protection blocks installation of the file, tap 'More Info' → 'Install anyway' → 'OK' to continue..
- Complete the installation: Follow the installer's instructions to complete the installation process.
How to update Citizen: Local Safety Alerts
- Download the new version apps from apkshki.com.
- Locate the downloaded file and click on it to start the installation.
- Install over the old version. There is no need to uninstall the previous version.
- Avoid signature conflicts. If the previous version was not downloaded from apkshki.com, the message 'Application not installed' may appear. In this case uninstall the old version and install the new one.
- Restart annex Citizen: Local Safety Alerts after the update.

I noticed this app does not respond to users who has problems using the app, that tells me this company that manages this app does not care about it's users.
Became useless. Was great about a year ago, now it seems like all it's trying to do is push the paid service which doesn't sound like it even makes sense. No more nearby alerts for anything. Total junk, would be happy to find an alternative. See ya, Citizen!
Sucks! They push the plus app so much that it interferes with the free version making it impossible for you to figure out if the app is even worth paying for. Un-installed it after 3 days. Just wasn't worth my time.

I don't love the constant exhortations to subscribe to premium level.
This app has become a total joke!! They play a short clip, supposedly of an NYPD call, and to listen to it, you have to upgrade to the paid version. They don't care about citizens' safety, not unless it brings them money. Maybe they should rename it Cash Cow. This is my last review of this app before uninstalling it.

I was please with app at first but not so much anymore. I want to know what's going on around my area and city but it doesn't do that anymore. The app tells about other states. 🤔🙄
