Reviews for VIEWBUG - Photography
Wow! I enjoy finding more apps for more pictures and they're really nice pictures This app looks real cool but I do have a few concerns 1- On the customize thing there is a typo. Professional and the Spanish version is spelled Profesional but that's the only Spanish thing isn't it?? Just wondering why it's like that. I'm fine if that was intended. 2- Also on the customize thing you are only able choose 3 things so why can't you choose more than 3??? And what is the ability level thing about?
They have been a great experience. The seminars and professional photographers that come in to help teach you more is fantastic. I don't know of another site like this that emphasizes that your photos are your property and only you have the right to use them and basically they won't go behind your back and use (for their own use or profit) any of your photos. I absolutely love Viewbug. They are made up of both amateur, semi-pro, and pro members. that watch out for you and guide you.
I was pretty excited that ViewBug was getting an app. However, it feels more like a Beta program. Kind of slow, unable to search for some challenges. I can never upload photos from my phone. I will have to wait for the next update, or so, before uninstalling it. Right now, it is wasted space on my phone...
Garbage, basically a poor man's version of deviantart or instagram or even better apps except you have to pay an expensive premium otherwise you can only upload one photo period. It always tells me "you've reached your weekly limit" suggesting one can only upload one photo a week, which would already be bad, but it's been about a month now and it still won't let me upload any more. The subscription is too pricey and the free mode is a waste of space on your phone, cannot recommend at all.
It's really an inspiring app. The images are wonderful over the top. When you start using it and if you have used similar apps, you know the difference. everything is well done. The paid membership is not really expensive but I wish there were a way to get that without paying. Maybe through winning VirwBug's own contests, or something like that. I love the freedom to post almost everything. With the marketplace coming alive now, I'm sure this will compete with some of the more authoritative apps.
The pictures are lovely but it's buggy. I just started using it. The + on the bottom doesn't work. It was glowing even. When I touch it doesn't do anything. If you can't upload photos what's the point? I was able to upload a photo through contests but I'm pretty sure that's not how it's supposed to work. And some buttons don't go to the right place. I hit edit photo and it goes to a submit photo page. I'll keep at it and see if it improves.
UPDATE : I still absolutely LOVE THIS APP!! Thank you for updating it. You addressed the problems that I was having issues with... it is now 💯percent awesome! I challenge anyone of any level of experience in photography to find a better app for fun and comradery than Viewbug, where you meet other photographers whose ideas and life experiences equal no others. All share and critique, helping you become the best photographer you can be. I thank you VB, from the camera lense of my heart! 📸❤📷😁
The app is great for any photographer. it's fun to enter contests and interact with others of the same passion. The big problem is that I can only upload through contests. When I try to upload through the upload button on the bottom of the main screen it tells me I have no internet connection (despite websites and other apps being able to load) the gives and error message when I click submit. If this could be fixed I'm willing to give 5 stars.
My experience has been good. There's really only one thing that I don't care for. Photographs in contest and just part of personal files are still allowed to be called photos regardless of the amount of photoshop,(et all) etc. is used. I firmly believe that if you do more than adjust density, color, contrast and convert to B&W it ceases being a photograph and becomes a piece of art. There are beautiful photographs and works of art on this site. Despite this I love this site.
Great app for photographers! I really enjoy the community and the ability to create challenges and give awards. The only thing I would suggest, is giving the ability to track contest rankings. I find myself submitting alot without really knowing how my images are doing. You also get a ton of great perks with the Pro membership.
