Reviews for MuseScore: sheet music
nothing works on my galaxy tab. not loading anything
💞
this app is pure garbage. constantly asking for subscriptions and even hides the ways to get out of them. disgusting app. horrible horrible design. constantly buggy too, like its a teenager who's trying to rebel against his parents but doesn't know how. I hate it.
I wanted ringtones and I got offer to learn instruments
Can't even BOOKMARK pieces without paying a subscription. Hilarious 10/10 capitalist bull-honkey.
great
Terrible experience. I went in hoping for something good. I had a few instruments that I wanted to learn. I even paid for their outrageous subscription. Unless you play piano or violin, it is absolutely worthless. I couldn't find a single mandolin sheet or lesson, just some liars who claimed to have mandolin pieces and did not deliver. Poor design. Poor support. Poor invention. Garbage app. Run far away from this.
Pro+ is kind of a ripoff. They are going the route of enshitification like the streaming services. You pay the $9.99 a month for access to pro scores, then you have to pay more to download the scores. 🙄 You can upgrade to another tier for $149.99 per year to get it all, but there is no monthly option. You might as well just use musicnotes or some other service and pay per score.
theres nothing wrong with my internet but it just loads so slow
Do not ever pay for this app. There are constant prompts and pop ups to trick the user into paying for free features, like simply adding a score to your favorites. App is unusable because of their greed. Just use the website that has all of the regular features and user generated scores without the annoyances.
I can say with confidence that this Musescore app is convenient. It is a great place to find and print sheets easily and that's good. You can even create your own sheets for free. The only thing to take away here is that there are some bugs. For example, whenever I try to adjust sound or tempo on a sheet I'm looking at, I can't exit out in any way except to close the app completely and come back on. Also I can't select a part in a song I want to hear maybe because I need musescore pro.
The app was very good, and the website was incredible. There's a reason why I'm using past tense though and that's because this website has slowly moved towards NEEDING money to be good. Locking things that were previously available for free behind really highly priced paywalls. It's just disappointing because I would always use this website to get my music, but everytime I log on, things I used to be able to do get taken away and placed behind their subscription.
Really should make it a bit more clear that this is more like a paid app than a free app with in-app purchases. After going through the "personalization" intro, you're taken to a monthly subscription screen, and the only ways through are a 7-day free trial and/or subscribing. *Apparently according to their responses to other reviews there should be a "close" or "x" in the top left of the screen. I didn't see anything. I could easily have just missed it, but it could be much clearer to the user.
There is something untrustworthy about a practice who relies on auto renew subscription to lock in their profits. I had the same experience of being signed up automatically for a year thinking it was a trial period but I decided to keep the year subscription to try it out and support this app anyway. I swear I took off the auto renew but it auto renewed anyway. They refused my request for a full refund. My fault for not canceling I guess but now seeing similar reviews. Will not recommend.
It's very painful to use since on phone, the wbesite limits you to two songs and forces you to download this app which can't even find the songs that you found on the website. Every time you open it, there is a pop up telling you to buy a subscription because you get to access more. Since there isn't any other places to go to find music that I'm specifically searching for, I have to continue this process. The content from lots of other people is pretty cool, a whole community helping each other.
