Reviews for Calorie Counter by FatSecret
I love this app. It's got a huge database of foods and also has the ability to adjust sizes (for example, instead of 1 serving, you can put .5 for half.) It's very easy to use and I love how it also tracks carbs, protein and fat for me. I need to get better at grams, tho. LOL. Oh, and I also like that you can save meals for easy adding to your diary. For instance, I typically have a bran muffin with either yogurt or a variety of fruits so I save each and can just click on one when I have it.
I purchased the premium version and it has additional useful features not available from the free side. Does Fat Secret have a WearOS version of the phone & tablet app?
The Fat Secret app makes it easy to track your food intake, activities, and progress. I rely on it when I need to get back on track. It's a keeper!
This app is amazing and a better free version of myfitpal they have the barcode scan and let's you adjust everything to fit your goals.
That's just great. I reached my goal weight with it. It calculated my target daily calorie norm perfectly well. Very convenient to use, almost all my food was easily found in a search
Convenient, entertaining, motivating app to track your calories, weight, and much more! The free version has everything I need. The app exceeded my expectations.
Easy program to use. Excellent.
An amazing app it will definitely help me reach my goals with ease
easy to use and free. great app
So far this has been the very best calorie tracking app I've tried. The search feature has found the exact items I was entering without having to wade through tons of inaccurate results, that in-itself sets this app WAY above the others! You have a lot of flexability on entering measurements and you can save meals. The only thing I don't like is that it's incorrect on setting your calorie limit for weight loss, you can however, manually change it so it didn't bother me too much.
The database of foods is what makes this very convenient. I've used this free ap on-and-off for years. And it works for me for weight loss. Not only does it build habits of conscious consumption, it provides a great record of meals that, when viewed over time, help me track what may have led to headaches and other reactions.
In general this is a good calorie counting app with access to a lot of pre programed selections from different restaurants and store brand foods. I would love to see a "favorites" option for restaurants or brands to make selecting food easier, but in general this does what I need it to do, sometimes perfectly, other times with a little extra math on my part. Overall I'm happy with it and have continued to use it for some years now
No gimmicks, no ads for the free account. Can't remember the last time I saw a tracking app with no ads. Only reason for 4 stars is some inconveniences like not able to access your own cook book without trying to log a meal in the diary.
One of the easier to use calorie counting apps. I chose it over others because it's easy to enter foods, and they don't seem to have as much extra junk in the food searches. It would have been 5 stars except a few things: The app will prompt me to enter my weight for the day multiple times per day, and I wish the food entry was even more flexible when it comes to volume/weight. I don't want "roast chicken" to have multiple entries: one counting by weight and another by volume.
Pros: It lets me customize what nutrition info I care most and easily viewed at many levels. I like very much the recipe entry, as I almost eat exclusively home cooked food. And, there are quite a few customize food options. Cons: It syncs with fitbit, but doesn't go the full way. If I go bed at 10, I'd try my best to have forbit updated and open this app right before I go bed, as they suggested. But that's where it stops at the best. So it never captures a whole day.
