Reviews for Slowly - Make Global Friends
The quality and consistency of use - the emphasis on taking your time to write something thoughtful and engaging - it's absolutely refreshing. There is a certain disadvantage you get from sending a small quick message - that lack of instant gratification and doubt the recipient will bother to continue the conversation. It's encapsulated so well and its great. The stamp collecting aspect is very fun as well, and I look forward to slowly building up my collection!
amazing app to explore your writing skills and to know connect to friends all around the globe
The best
The best app in the world
As someone hates social media apps, this one is perfect for me! I just wish if we can hide some stamps. Some of them I don't want them to appear in my collection.
I have found a lot of penpals to write but most of them quit writing within a month or two, I understand people get busy. I don't like how one avatar item or one stamp can cost over 50 coins when the videos only give me under 10 each time a gift pops up. However, the app works wonderfully. I look forward to meeting new friends on there and in real life. The only problem is with really long letters, the app lags and makes it hard to type out. My Penpal said PC works better (:
good
I'm really enjoying the app so far. The only bad thing is starting off it's a little slow, because you have to wait for your letters to send and hope someone writes back. But that's not the apps fault. (in fact you could argue it's one of it's charm's) I know a lot of people don't like the long wait times between letters, but to me it adds to the experience. It's so exciting to see a letter coming from halfway around the world and I find myself watching the time, counting down the hours till my next one arrives. If you want to meet new people, but don't like the boring not so personal interactions that come from most instant messaging (at least that's my most common experience with people I've met online) this is a great alternative. Plus you never have to work around one another's schedule/ time zones.
What an awesome method to meet people by exchanging letters. The time that it takes to send the letters allows the sender to write carefully on what to say. In the end, it somehow creates a uniqe space for friendship to develop. The app is designed very well along with its website version. They have a unique way to support the platform by selling special stamps with unique pictures, but the whole platform is free to use with no ads. Thank you for making this app! I really appreciate it.
The interface is so clean and lovely, and the idea behind the app is genius. It sometimes gets frustrating having to wait days for a reply instead of seconds like other social media, but I'm learning the super important skill of delaying gratification. Would 12/10 recommend for anyone looking to connect with people without the high-anxiety that instant messaging causes.
Really cool idea, executed well, UI is great, moderation is great and the paid upgrades are really reasonable and totally optional. It's an odd feeling, because I'm probably more likely to participate in the paid model because it's actually cool stuff, and not because you're kindof forced to to get the full app experience. Well done all around.
it's a very nice app and it's fun to write letters to people, however a lot of people don't keep the app for very long, so even when you're getting along with someone they might suddenly stop logging in and stop writing letters to you. That isn't the app's fault, and it's not everyone, but it's something that I experienced a lot of. The users are friendly though and if they keep the app long enough you might find a new friend :)
all I gotta say is that it's a peak app. 🫴🏽
I really like this app. However, I think it would be way better if it allowed users to be creative. By that I mean in the letter writing process maybe have different font styles and sizes, different "paper" colors (or patterns, frames...) different text colors, maybe even add some kind of feature to draw doodles, add stickers (we would therefore be collecting both stamps and sticker packages we send each other). I don't really know how doable these will be but the app has so much potential!
this app has good interface and user-friendly.
