Reviews for Guitar Tuner: Ukulele & Bass
not what I wanted (I was looking for a generic "fine" tuner for an instrument that doesn't use standard guitar tuning) and the photo realistic UI just gets in the way. now it clutters my phone with useless notifications even though I haven't used it in more than a month. well, maybe not totally useless since it reminded me I should uninstall it
I been using this app since 2014 & it was the most accurate tuner & i used this tuner ALL THE TIME. It was always free & it gave you a limited amount of alternate tunings for free which still fitted my needs from e flat to drop d. The other tunings you had to purchase. Can not believe they changed the format overall tho & now you have to pay for everything. Even the free tuner you now have to purchase a subscription to use it for free. So disappointing. This was my fav tuner. I feel betrayed lol
Re-review. Coming back after having twins I realize that now all of a sudden it'd a paid app.. and I can find the same tones I want on Google. However this part stands,, One of the few tuners I have found that will give me a note in hertz as apposed to 440hz. Still not worth 50$...and if I did something wrong whatever is going on with the app really discouraged me in keeping it. Uninstalling and going to YouTube
Terrible. This new update is insane; the fork and chromatic tuner are now longer free, its loaded with ads and hard to actually use, the interface is somehow worse than before the update and upon opening it was very difficult to get past the free trial option. Would not reccomend at all
New version of the app is rubbish. Straight up doesn't work. The tuning needle doesn't seem to have an correlation to tuning the guitar anymore, seems to do whatever it wants. Had to tune each string by ear after listening to the notes on the app. What have you done to this once brilliant app?
Now very expensive subscription model for what was a good free app. Maybe put advanced features behind a subscription (or one time payment) but there is no way can justify that much YEARLY just to use basic, standard, guitar tuning. Not even a weekly or monthly option. Uninstalling
I've used this app for years and it was always my go and I recommended it for friends as well. And suddenly in order to use it for guitar, you need to pay $60 a year? Ridiculous. If you really need to monetize, do so for alternate tunings or the other instruments. Let standard tuning just be free
This had been my go to tuning app for years, now I will be deleting it as it is closed under a $60 a year pay wall. It's completely luxurious. I can't believe the greed and short sighted stupidity of the app makers here. The app was not even very polished and full of ads before, but still worth it for the alternative tunings. I'd pay a one time 5 bucks for it, maybe. Terrible miscalculation, I'll wait for a clone to pop up, or for them to realize this terrible miscalculation.
1 star for adding annoying "features" that make this app much less pleasurable to use, like the distracting unread notification count in the corner (which aren't notifications at all, but ads to your other apps) and the always aggravating "ARE YOU SURE???" prompt when clicking the back button to exit the app. Uninstalled.
Loved the interface and reactivity for ages, just checked back since I'm picking up my guitar without the built in tuner again, and now you have to subscribe to use it??? I'm fine with some ads, but no way do I use this enough for it to be worth paying for.
