Updated 15MAY2020: This once great app has not worked in over one year. The developer stopped supporting in early 2019. Today, the developer released an update and started to support the app again. It now works brilliantly! Hopefully it will continue go be supported. I highly recommend this over the stock Android clock and weather. I recommend purchasing the pro version to get rid of the ads. I have used this app for over 5 years. I have also purchased the pro (Unlocked Version). It has worked flawlessly and is one of my favorite apps. I have the clock and and weather widget on my home page. After the most recent update, the app has become unusable. None of my themes will load except an old HTC flip clock. The app does not show the current time. I have tried the battery optimizer fix that others have suggested and it seems to be working. However, I still cannot use any of the themes. Also, there are now ads! I have the paid version and I still have ads everywhere. I have sent emails to the developer and have not received a response. I will have to uninstall until the version is either rolled back or fixes are made. If you are thinking of purchasing this app, be warned, it does currently does not work. Find a different app.

I've been using fancy widgets as long as I can remember. I've been having problems with the clock freezing up and not updating. I thought at first the problem was with the latest version of Android. So I downloaded an older version of fancy widgets 4.07 and not having any problems now. I think there's a glitch in the update making it not function properly. If you're having the same problem try downloading an older version. Maybe that will help. Note. Turn off auto-updates in the play store.

FIX. If not updating the time properly, go to apps and find Fancy Widgets and select it. Click on battery. Click on optimize battery use. Change it to show all apps from the drop down list at the top. Find Fancy Widgets in list. Move the slider over for the app to turn off optimization. Note: turning off optimization on the phone in the general battery section will not fix. It must be done for the app individually.

I've used this app since my HTC Droid Incredible. Great, with the occasional issue over the years. Most resent issue is that I recently reset my phone, and I did the process to unlock the paid version (I originally got the paid version for free from Amazon App store when they did a different free app daily), I no longer have all my clock or weather skins. Also, even though I've backed up my settings previously, and transfered from SD card to card over the years, the info is no longer there.

What happened to this app having the ability to sync with the date/time settings in the phone? Every time I unlock my phone or turn on the screen I have to manually refresh the weather and location on my Samsung Galaxy A71.... I used to love this app but since I got this phone it's been nothing but a headache. I also have the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1. Both are on T-Mobile. Becoming disappointed as the quality is apparently not a concern for the developer anymore.

Loved this app for years still do. I just don't understand why mess with something that wasn't broken. Can't change weather icons anymore. The color wheel shows up white. I didn't update it only to the last one due to the high reviews. I shouldn't have New update still can't change weather skins. They're in folders inside the app but still nothing. When you try to do it it says it can't be found in sd card. Moved the files to SD card from internal storage and still nothing. It's only the same weather skin that I'm trying to use that I've used for years.

UNINSTALLED!!! I even tried uninstalling and reinstall, still has major functionality issues. It worked fine for YEARS....THEN after 3 updates within a couple of weeks, the app no longer works properly. In the forecast view,there is no menu option anymore. There is no way to see the moon stages. After the latest update, the widget went from 4X2 to 3X2 and no longer fits the screen as it should. It is offset either to one side or the other. VERY DISSAPOINTED as I have the paid version.

This app has been a staple for many years on all my Android phones so you can imagine my extreme disappointment that with the most recent update it no longer works satisfactorily. No matter what I do the clock refuses to refresh to the correct time. Neither does the weather reflect current conditions. Until a fix corrects these problems, I am forced to abandon Fancy Widgets in favor of an alternative.

Latest update made this useless. Clock has shown 12:36 all day. I've removed and re-added it three times. Initially it shows the correct time, next time I look, it's at 12:36 again. Randomly changes the settings I have. Sometimes doesn't even load. I regret ever paying for this app. and now when trying to use downloaded clock skins, the skin doesn't change and the clock disappears. AND now I'm getting ads. Even after paying for it. Great job.

Like others, I have loved this widget for years, using it as both clock and quick access to my alarm clock app. Also like others, I am very disappointed that the current version no longer updates. I have been putting up with having to remove and replace the widget when I restart my phone for a while, but now the widgets are totally nonfunctional.
