Active Citizen is an Android application designed to improve Moscow through online voting.

Application Features

• The application makes it possible to influence the decisions of the administration in the framework of the improvement of the city on the most pressing and common issues.
• For each vote, a resident of the city will receive a number of bonus points that can be accumulated to be exchanged for city services and social benefits (for example, points can be used to pay for paid parking, travel by public transport, get tickets for cultural and entertainment events in the capital, or visit city excursion programs).
• The first thousand points will activate access to the Rewards Store, which will activate the opportunity to receive some city services and social benefits.
• The most active residents of Moscow will receive the status of an “active citizen”, and will open up the opportunity to accumulate bonus points faster.

The software was launched at the official level on behalf of the government of Moscow and the Moscow region in order to increase the improvement, the level of support for the city, its prosperity and well-being. This project is personally supervised by the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, as well as his closest circle.

The software works as follows: every week the Moscow government (including the Moscow region) brings up the agenda of the day topical and painful issues, in the solution of which every resident of the city can take.

Questions may relate to healthcare, transport, road transport infrastructure, security, improvement of individual territories, and so on.

For example, city dwellers will have the opportunity to cast a vote that will decide how Moscow schoolchildren will have a rest during the summer holidays, in which industry it is necessary to invest more funds, or which building to organize on the site of the former industrial zone. That is, if you vote on painful issues every week, you can achieve the desired result through a collective position. This is the main purpose of the software.
