Reviews for AirBattery
App works perfectly, exactly as advertised. This is by far the best app I've found for the battery status on my airpods, which was the entire reason I downloaded originally. In-ear detection is listed as experimental and has a high battery usage warning, but in my experience it worked much better than I expected (best I've found for Android), and I haven't noticed any difference in battery usage from this app regardless of the settings I have used.
Great app! It shows the battery of the airpods and the case which is what I wanted, and the in-ear detection feature is really cool. I do wish it could update a bit faster but I believe that's an apple issue, not this app. Apple doesn't care about those of us using multiple OSes so I'm really happy this exists. All in all a lot of great work went into this app, and I recommend buying the pro version to support the developer.
When I open the case for the first time the app is launched and most of the time it will display the battery level. Sometimes it doesn't and I have to put the Airpods back in their case, wait for Bluetooth to disconnect before reopening the case. My main problem however is that after listening to music for some time, the app will loose track of the battery levels. Is this something that can be fixed? On Pixel 3XL; Android 10 and 11.
I appreciate the iPhone features being able to see the battery life of the airpods & the case itself also the pause feature, however the downsides I have is when I open the airpod case, my phone's paired and I see it is & the app pop ups & says it can't detect any airpods connected. Like come on what sense does that make. This doesn't happen all the time but I'd like this issue to be fixed. Also one more issue is the app not working when I restart my phone. Also can you add a dark mode
Responsive and nicely built app but appears to have consistency issues with reporting my AirPods battery. Pixel 3, Android 10, AirPods 2. Notification will show things like 95% in both ears even after I've been using the pods for hours. Tapping update changes the reading, but even then, the notification will show a different percentage than the app overlay, which I trust as more accurate. Even then, sometimes the overlay refreshes sporadically and shows differing values.
I love that this functionality exists for Android, but unfortunately the app has four consistent issues... 1. Not being able to find my airpods despite them being connected. 2. Displaying vastly different levels of battery-life between the main app view and the notification view. 3. Not displaying the battery-life of my airpod case despite it being nearby and open. 4. Finally (and most frustrating) Displaying the volume level of other people's Bluetooth headphones who are near me.
The app connects Airpods randomly to the phone, making the experience very unpleasant. I'm sitting in the car listening to a song and Airpods in a bag in backseat. Out of nowhere, the song starts streaming to Airpods and I can't hear anything on car stereo. Same thing happens when I'm listening to music on my wired headphones. Returned Airpods. Costco was kind enough to return my money. Uninstalling the app. Not sure if the developer would follow suit.
Doesn't work anymore. It worked fine for nearly a year and suddenly won't detect my AirPods anymore. Gotta love when updates to an app break it's functionality. Updated: Tried everything suggested, even deleting the device and pairing it anew, it still doesn't detect them. Incidentally, when I first installed the app early last year, it never asked me to select which device I have. Now it shows there's gen1, gen2, and pro airpods. My old phone supposedly doesn't support gen2 or pro, but I think I may have gen1 (purchased in early 2019), which always worked fine. So something in a recent update broke support.
horrible. Every few minutes the illustration of the airpods shows up for now reason. I'm not even using them nor is the case open. when you close out of it the app pops up again. will connect to bt with out me even using the airpods. also the app will say beats are connected. this app needs some serious upgrades. pisses me off so bad. I'm listening to my radio in my car and the pods will turn on by itself and cut my music off in the car. mostly will delete app and wont reccomend to anyone.
