Reviews VSCO: Photo & Video Editor on Google play

Keeps going downhill. I have had this app for nearly 10 years. It used to be mostly if not completely free. As time goes on I keep losing editing features to the "paid" section of the app. I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after it seems like everything has become a paid feature. I can understand paying for preset filters, but most recently they have started taking away the editing tools used to custom fine tune pictures. Going to have to find a new editing app.

One of - if not - the best photo editing app on the market, but they have become so greedy in trying to get people to pay for full access that instead of just providing extra tools for payers they have now restricted some of the basic tools (that used to be free) for people who pay now. So absurd, so disappointed. I hope your app fails now, honestly.

This used to be my favorite photo editing app but they are taking away features that used to be free in order to force user's hands into paying for a premium subscription. It's really disheartening to see how greedy this app has gotten. Will be looking for a new photo editing app from this day forward. Shame on y'all! You really think during a recession ppl have extra money to spend on features that were free up until now? Features I used that were once free : adjusting tone, grain, etc. Boo! 🍅

Great app, but it is progressively adding "premium" features each update and it's simply not worth paying money to edit an image. There are already many filters and such that were already premium. I don't necessarily think more needed to be added. To each their own, though. Pay at your own expense if you wish.

Been using this app for so many years and would have given it 5 stars but like other comments have stated the update made it so that you have to pay to access almost all of the filters and editing tools that were free to use before, basically the only things you can really use now are crop, light exposure, contrast, and the most basic editing tools that your phone already offers, as for the filters theres barely any free ones anymore, horrible

Loved this app before! Have to change my opinion about this app from 5 stars to 2. Have been using vsco since 2016, always thought that that's the best app, but what happened to it? Seriously, tried to edit one photo today for freaking 4 times, just using 2 simple tools, and couldn't save because of the highlighted blue line saying that I should try new options/free trial and etc. and that highlighted line was on SAVE button, it doesn't saved my edited photo, 4 freaking times! So disappointed((

Just got the "premium" version after having the free version for YEARS. With no issues. I've edited the same d@$m pic about 5 times now, when I push save it freezes then goes to my VSCO gallery instantly. With the pic sitting there...UNEDITED. Cleared cache, forced stop, uninstalled and reinstalled. Zero stars because it's nonfunctional.

I've used VSCO for years and have loved it, BUT this new update has locked features that have made this app worth having over other apps. Now you can no longer adjust highlights, shadows, add grain, clarity, change the undertones. By locking these features under membership they have made the free version completely unnecessary and seemingly useless :(

Unfortunately, like many other users here I've been using and telling friends to use VSCO for many many years but with the most recent update they've removed majority of their free tools and presets that are now only available for premium members. Sad to see it go this way but I'll be looking for another platform to edit my pictures. Thanks for serving me so well these past years though. I'd recommend if you don't mind paying a fee for filters and other editing tools!

You need to add Raw to the Android version. You also need to stop charging for some of your best film effects. This app is great for one thing and the yearly cost should cover all the bells and whistles. I'd of given you a 5 if you would have done those two things. Add only one of them and I'd a given you a four.
